Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (New Jersey)

Location: On-site in Lakewood, New Jersey; training is held on-site, with relocation out of state required after the program and company-provided assistance.

Salary: $28.85 per hour for a full-time schedule; relocation or cost-of-living adjustments may also apply.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on management training program in a distribution warehouse.
• Rotate through operations, management, purchasing, and other distribution-center functions.
• Learn sales-center procedures and performance standards by shadowing experienced employees.
• Work with contractors, builders, service and maintenance providers, and retail customers to understand the distribution business.
• Attend classroom training in operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
• Present a comprehensive program-completion presentation to senior management and support special operations projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Experience in leadership or problem-solving; relevant internships, organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership may substitute for work experience.
• Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse and lead and develop a team amid changing priorities.
• Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, maneuver heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Motivated, customer-service-driven attitude; pre-employment drug testing and background verification are required.
