Product Safety Engineer II (Semiconductor)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States; work arrangements may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on role requirements and business needs.

Base salary: $76,526.52–$103,535.88 USD annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and monitor product safety programs and policies for semiconductor products, including vacuum and atmospheric robots, vacuum cluster tools, and EFEMs.
• Ensure compliance with government, customer, and industry health and safety laws and guidelines throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct safety and compliance reviews and evaluations for new and existing products.
• Create test plans for new and updated products and evaluate equipment against functional safety standards such as ISO 13849-1 and ISO 10218.
• Maintain product risk assessments, address hazard mitigations, and support safety escalations or accident investigations.
• Train internal groups and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product safety and compliance.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience with machine safety standards and industry guidelines.
• Experience with EN/IEC 60204-1 and NFPA 79.
• Experience using risk assessment methodologies outlined in ISO 12100.
• Associate’s degree with equivalent experience; a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering-related field is preferred.
• Ability to work in or coordinate with the Chelmsford, Massachusetts headquarters under a role-specific hybrid arrangement.
