Software QA Engineer (AI)

hirify.global develops internal tools and carrier- and customer-facing software surfaces supported by data platforms.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automated regression suites for internal tools, carrier-facing APIs, and carrier and customer portals.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so relevant changes are tested automatically.
• Evaluate and apply AI-assisted test generation, self-healing selectors, and defect triage while defining where human review is required.
• Act as a release quality gate by approving releases based on test evidence or documenting risk when releases are not ready.
• Isolate and document defects with reproducible steps, expected and actual behavior, and severity.
• Build repeatable QA practices, coverage standards, release-gate criteria, and compliance-ready testing and change-management artifacts.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites with Playwright or a comparable framework such as Cypress or Selenium/WebDriver.
• Experience testing both UI and API layers, including API contracts and integration data flows.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience using AI tooling for test generation, test maintenance, or defect triage, with sound judgment about verification.
• Strong defect isolation, reproduction, documentation, risk assessment, and release-gate decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently while building and improving automation processes.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments such as SOC 2 or HIPAA-adjacent systems.
• Experience testing external-facing API integrations with third-party partners.
• Familiarity with Python and/or Snowflake-adjacent data pipelines.
• Experience establishing or significantly improving an automation framework.
