Car-T Operations Start-Up Engineer (CAR-T)

Base pay: €60,000–€96,255 per year

What you will do

• Support major CAR-T expansion projects and ensure GMP manufacturing areas are operationally ready for commercial production.
• Capture and implement operational user requirements across design, build, qualification, and technology transfer phases.
• Support manufacturing design, new process implementation, material flows, utilities, and manufacturing systems.
• Develop and review user requirement specifications, standard operating procedures, work instructions, master batch records, and qualification protocols.
• Support digital and systems integration, including MES and SAP, to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate Operations, QA, QC, MSAT, EHS, IT, Planning, and external partners while supporting change controls, inspection readiness, and audits.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Master’s degree, preferably in engineering, bioscience engineering, biochemistry, pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
• Experience with project management, cell processing, IT systems, or advanced manufacturing automation technologies.
• Ability to work with strict procedures and guidelines while adapting to changing and unclear situations.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and maintain high standards of integrity, respect, quality, and sustainability.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GMP and cGMP regulations, ICH, EudraLex Volume 4, and ATMP requirements.
• Experience with agile manufacturing, analytics dashboards, CMC, operational excellence, plant operations, gap analysis, or process optimization.
