What you will do

  • Prepare ultra-thin specimens using advanced laboratory tools.
  • Perform Transmission Electron Microscopy analysis and imaging.
  • Use dual-beam Focused Ion Beam systems for sample preparation and engineering analysis.
  • Support process development, product qualification, fabrication, process integration, and failure analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory records, reports, protocols, analytical tools, and processes.
  • Complete hands-on training and collaborate with peers to maintain current technical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Materials Science, or a comparable technical field, with 0–3 years of hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience; alternatively, an Associate's degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience using dual-beam Focused Ion Beam systems and TEM imaging equipment.
  • Strong understanding of sample preparation techniques and laboratory protocols.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.
  • Ability to exercise judgment when resolving non-standard technical problems and work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or an analytical laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with laboratory-scale tools and pipetting techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
