Technical Publications Specialist (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Research, write, update, and maintain operator manuals, maintenance work cards, troubleshooting guides, technical bulletins, specifications, and digital technical content.
• Develop clear, safe, step-by-step procedures for field and sustainment maintenance of tactical uncrewed aircraft systems.
• Manage publication lifecycle workflows, version control, configuration baselines, and revision histories tied to engineering changes, work orders, technical bulletins, and software releases.
• Review technical graphics, diagrams, tables, flowcharts, screenshots, and technical data for accuracy.
• Organize technical manual verification and validation events and incorporate user feedback into revised documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, analysts, training teams, IPTs, working groups, and Army publication organizations on manuals, curricula, RPSTL, and MAC development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, technical writing, aviation technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in logistics, aviation maintenance, technical publications, or a comparable military or industrial technical field.
• Active Secret security clearance is required.
• Experience creating, editing, and managing technical documentation, with knowledge of technical writing standards and style guides.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data and manage multiple projects to deadlines.
• Familiarity with XML/SGML editors, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Prior aviation maintenance experience.
• Experience supporting military or aerospace technical publications.
