Technical Publications Specialist

What you will do

• Write, edit, and format owner and installation manuals and other technical documentation.
• Transform engineering content and complex processes into clear text and easy-to-follow visuals.
• Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, and sales subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Apply templates, standards, and regulatory guidelines to maintain document consistency.
• Improve content quality, reuse, user experience, and translation-readiness.
• Coordinate regional document versions and translations for international product lines.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in technical writing, publishing, communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience writing or editing technical documentation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate with technical audiences.
• Excellent grammar, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Experience with style guides, templates, version control, file management, and visual formatting for technical content.

Nice to have

• Experience with structured authoring tools, XML, or HTML.
• Knowledge of employee or product safety regulations such as ANSI or CE.
• Experience with video or animation software.
• Experience working with translation vendors or international documentation.
