Assistant General Manager (Retail)

Location: Jared Jewelers - Wayside Commons, Burlington, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $16.50–$26.25 base pay plus commission on sales

What you will do

• Assume the General Manager’s duties and responsibilities during their absence.
• Lead and supervise store personnel across sales, office, and inventory functions.
• Drive store sales, customer satisfaction, merchandise knowledge, and service quality.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, training, store meetings, role plays, and employee development.
• Manage customer flow, displays, merchandise programs, inventory controls, promotions, and store maintenance.
• Handle customer complaints, jewelry and watch repair estimates, minor repairs, and security and loss-prevention procedures.

• Ability to achieve outstanding sales performance and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, delegate, make decisions, and accept responsibility.
• Strong interpersonal communication, persuasion, product knowledge, and floor-awareness skills.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, reliability, and a cooperative team-oriented work style.
• Completion of required information security, safety, training, and minimum-requirements quizzes and modules.
• Completion of Diamontology and GIA Gemology courses is required as part of the role.
