Assistant Manager - Optical (Retail)

Location: Williamsburg, Virginia, United States; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Monitor profit, sales, performance goals, and store financial reports.
• Oversee the eyeglass department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain quality standards, including reviewing remakes.
• Communicate with general and district management and provide required store reporting.
• Maintain promotions, advertising, visual merchandising, and staff awareness of current offers.
• Supervise, motivate, recruit, and support the development of opticians, contact lens sales associates, and other store staff.

Requirements

• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
• Understanding of store operations and performance standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication and exceptional customer service skills.
• Organizational, analytical, financial reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Some duties may require state-specific licenses or credentials.
