Engineering Technician (RF)

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite role

Salary: $32.21–$50.96 per hour. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area, the range is $40.14–$60.34 per hour.

What you will do

• Build, test, and troubleshoot RF-based hybrid electro-mechanical modules and subassemblies.
• Perform circuit-level RF testing and measurements, including gain, P1dB, noise figure, phase noise, adjacent channel rejection, and isolation.
• Develop test methods, procedures, and documentation for accurate and repeatable results.
• Document and troubleshoot test failures, collect and analyze data, and identify root causes.
• Build new test setups and calibrate test stations for RF performance.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers, Test Engineers, and Manufacturing teams to solve product and testing issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant work experience testing and troubleshooting electronic products.
• Ability to read schematics and understand electronic circuits.
• Associate of Science degree in Electronics Technology or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF test, measurement, and calibration techniques.
• Experience in a development engineering environment with high levels of ambiguity.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting RF amplifiers, LNAs, and up/down converters.
• Experience using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, noise figure meters, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and thermal chambers or plates.
