Graduate PCB Design Engineer

What you will do

• Create and maintain PCB layouts for advanced embedded computing products.
• Support the design and development of high-speed, multilayer printed circuit boards.
• Apply signal integrity and power integrity design practices and perform analysis with Ansys SI/PI tools.
• Work with hardware, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and signal integrity teams to interpret requirements and design constraints.
• Participate in design reviews, verification, prototyping, manufacturing support, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PCB design processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of electronic circuit fundamentals, PCB design principles, and electronic components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to learn new technologies and engineering tools.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Colchester role.
• Candidates may need to meet BPSS pre-employment screening criteria for roles subject to security and export control restrictions.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Cadence, Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or similar EDA tools.
• Understanding of high-speed digital electronics, signal integrity, power integrity, EMC/EMI, or transmission line theory.
• Experience from university projects, internships, or placements.
• Familiarity with embedded systems, microprocessors, FPGA-based designs, or electronic manufacturing processes.
