Performance/Resilience Test Engineer

What you will do

• Create, maintain, and execute non-functional test plans, strategies, estimates, scenarios, and test data.
• Design and maintain performance and resilience test scripts using JMeter, Gatling, and related tools.
• Plan, execute, and analyze performance, load, stress, endurance, capacity, resilience, and recovery testing.
• Prepare test environments, workloads, monitoring, and reporting for complex distributed and microservices-based cloud systems.
• Investigate bottlenecks and non-functional defects, recommending improvements to performance, reliability, scalability, and resilience.
• Guide QA engineers and developers while collaborating with development, DevOps, operations, stakeholders, and customers.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 6 years in non-functional, performance, resilience, or load testing.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in an ICT-related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with JMeter, Gatling, or similar performance testing tools.
• Experience with test strategy, workload and test case design, platform setup, test data preparation, defect management, and performance analysis.
• Practical Java development or automation experience and experience with microservices, containerized platforms, and private cloud environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, observability, Agile development, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience with ChaosToolkit, Kraken, or similar resilience and chaos testing tools.
• Experience testing large-scale distributed systems with multiple integrated components.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, Podman, Kafka, PostgreSQL, or related technologies.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk, GitHub CI/CD, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or comparable testing and observability tools.
