What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build technologies for large-scale distributed computing environments.
• Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Define the engineering roadmap and simplify architectures for durability, availability, and maintainability.
• Deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.
• Build a team culture that supports strong performance while solving complex technical problems.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle.
• Experience managing engineering teams and working directly within engineering organizations.
• Experience engineering, designing, or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scalability.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multitier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, product features, technical designs, and strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams.
