Procurement Engineering Specialist (Energy Distribution)

Location: Italy; hybrid work model.

Minimum annual salary: €48,000, plus a 5% AIP target and eligibility for a company productivity bonus.

What you will do

• Act as an interface between Procurement, Engineering, and R&D teams.
• Manage ordering and on-time delivery of prototype parts with suppliers in line with project development and testing plans.
• Coordinate procurement Gate Model activities and maintain project procurement documentation.
• Estimate initial cost and quality and support achievement of product cost and quality targets.
• Optimize cost and quality throughout new product development projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of procurement experience in new product development programs as a Procurement Engineer or Project Buyer.
• Experience with mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic components and systems.
• Strong knowledge of should-cost modeling, value chain analysis, supplier development, and the electrical equipment and energy distribution market.
• Proficiency with SAP, SAP Ariba, or equivalent ERP and procurement platforms, plus familiarity with PLM and project management tools.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or relevant supply chain/business administration experience with a strong technical background.
• Italian and English are required for written and spoken communication with international stakeholders.
