Software Developer in Test, Intern (Genesys Cloud) (AI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, with hybrid attendance at the downtown Toronto office 1–2 days per week. Internship/co-op terms run for 8–16 months beginning in May or June 2027.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test scalable and reliable reporting and analytics features for the hirify.global Cloud platform.
• Use AI coding assistants and development tools to explore, prototype, write, and refactor code.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Participate in peer code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile ceremonies.
• Follow security, data privacy, HIPAA compliance guidelines, and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language, such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.
• Familiarity with Git version control systems, including Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn cloud architectures, modern data and reporting stacks, and AI technologies.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI developer tools or agentic coding assistants such as Claude Code, Kiro, Cursor, or Copilot.
• Exposure to data visualization, reporting pipelines, or API integrations.
• Experience or coursework in automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud services such as AWS.

Hiring process
