TL;DR
Head of Operations - Analytics (Fintech): Leading regulated UK financial-services operations across Operations, Financial Crime, Fraud, Customer Service, Credit, and Consumer Duty with an accent on executive accountability, operational risk, and FCA compliance. Focus on board-level governance, managing service and outsourcing agreements, chairing the Consumer Duty Forum, and keeping policies aligned with regulatory change.

Location: London, UK; hybrid setup with most teams meeting in the office 2–3 days per week.

What you will do

  • Hold executive accountability for Operations, Financial Crime, Fraud, Customer Service, Credit, and Consumer Duty at Klarna Financial Services UK.
  • Serve as an Executive Director on the KFSUK Board and contribute to governance and strategic direction.
  • Manage intra-group service agreements and external outsourcing agreements against service-level commitments.
  • Identify, manage, and report operational risk across the operations function.
  • Chair the Consumer Duty Forum and represent Operations on relevant KFSUK committees.
  • Maintain policies, routines, and stakeholder relationships as the regulated business scales.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of senior operational leadership experience, including direct experience in UK payments or financial services.
  • At least 8 years overseeing service agreements and vendor management.
  • At least 7 years of risk management experience in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of FCA Consumer Credit regulations and Electronic Money Regulations for regulated e-money institutions.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and communicating regulatory and compliance matters to function leads and board members.
  • FCA approval is required before starting, with ongoing obligations under the Senior Managers Regime.
