TL;DR
Enterprise Architecture Intern (AI): Supporting enterprise architecture strategy, software solution design, governance, and AI proof-of-concept development with an accent on AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, and architecture documentation. Focus on researching AI platforms, designing utilities, evaluating target-state architectures, and collaborating with global architecture, engineering, and operations teams.
Location: Waterford, Ireland; fully on-site at the Waterford office for the duration of the internship

What you will do
- Support US Architecture across the development lifecycle for multiple architects and business lines.
- Gain practical experience in technology strategy, enterprise software design, and solution delivery.
- Research AI platforms and recommend improvements to team and business processes.
- Design and build AI proof of concepts and utilities using AWS Bedrock and AgentCore.
- Document current-state architecture, evaluate options, and define target-state designs.
- Maintain application portfolio documentation and support architecture governance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Current third-year degree student in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with the internship required as part of the course.
- Must return to studies after the internship and provide confirmation that the placement is a course requirement.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with AI concepts, tools, and platforms; AWS Bedrock and AgentCore experience is preferred.
- Basic programming and scripting knowledge, such as Python, Java, or SQL.
- Ability to work at the Waterford office on-site for the internship duration.
Nice to have
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud computing platforms.
- Experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
