Trading Systems Engineers (Linux/Cloud)

Location: Amsterdam area; on-site and not remote. Willingness to relocate to the Amsterdam area is accepted.

What you will do

• Write, debug, and publish reusable Terraform modules for Linux and cloud infrastructure.
• Design and operate GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows, including policy checks, tests, approval gates, and self-service guardrails.
• Build and operate Kubernetes across managed cloud clusters and on-premise k3s, including distributed systems such as Kafka.
• Provision and operate GCP, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud resources through Infrastructure as Code.
• Automate and operate the Linux estate using Foreman, Puppet, Ansible/AWX, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Develop internal automation and tooling in Python or Go, participate in test-driven development, and take part in the global 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Strong Terraform experience, including reusable module development and debugging.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, including guardrails and policy checks.
• Production Kubernetes experience across workloads, CNI, Helm, and Argo.
• Hands-on experience provisioning and operating GCP or AWS through Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, including production troubleshooting of processes, networking, storage, systemd, logs, and kernel versus user space.
• Proficiency in Python or Go, test-driven development, production on-call, and incident response; typically 5+ years of infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering experience. Fluent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Cross-domain experience spanning Linux/systems and cloud/platform engineering.
• GCP, Kafka in production, Puppet, Ansible/AWX, and Foreman experience.
• Bare-metal and datacenter infrastructure experience, including virtualization and networking.
• Experience in financial services, trading, or other high-availability, latency-sensitive environments.
• Dutch language skills.
