Data Science Manager (AI)

Location: Frankfurt, Germany; at least 3 days in the office

Salary: €71,750–€117,875 per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Develop data-driven and commercially viable propositions using large-scale payment data and value-added services.
• Partner with Sales, consulting, and Product teams to identify opportunities and convert insights into funded client projects.
• Define business problems, commercial outcomes, success metrics, analytical methodologies, and delivery plans with internal and external stakeholders.
• Execute Data Science projects using statistical and AI techniques to generate business-focused insights.
• Provide subject-matter expertise and quality assurance across complex Data Science engagements.
• Feed recurring client needs and market trends into the Data Science product and solution roadmap.

Requirements

• Advanced analytics and AI experience, including predictive modeling, machine learning, experimentation, or agentic AI systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with data preparation, feature engineering, and large, complex datasets.
• Programming skills in Python and SQL, including production-grade data manipulation and machine learning workflows.
• Experience designing agentic AI workflows with multi-step reasoning, tool-augmented agents, orchestration frameworks, reliability evaluation, and production failure-mode management.
• Familiarity with LLM integration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, function or tool calling, and memory management.
• Ability to work from the Frankfurt office at least 3 days per week and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
