What you will do
- Own a logistics problem domain end-to-end and deliver analytical solutions that improve cost, efficiency, and service performance.
- Partner with business and domain leads to frame problems, challenge assumptions, and develop data-driven solutions.
- Apply simulation, optimization, statistical modeling, causal inference, and experimentation to logistics challenges such as fleet sizing, routing, staffing, and demand planning.
- Build and scale data products, analytical tools, self-serve analytics, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Conduct exploratory and root-cause analyses to identify performance drivers and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with data and engineering teams on data modeling, metric definitions, and scalable analytics solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience, with 5–8 years of experience in analytics or data science.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations analytics, including fleet sizing, routing, staffing, or demand planning.
- Strong SQL and Python skills and experience with large-scale datasets, NoSQL, or distributed data systems.
- Experience with modern data platforms, preferably Google Cloud tools such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, Google Colab, or Google Sheets.
- Experience with simulation, optimization, statistical modeling, causal inference, and experimentation, including A/B, cluster, or switchback tests.
- Strong problem-solving and problem-structuring skills, with the ability to work independently through ambiguity.
