Hardware Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Maintain and improve electronic products already in mass production through design changes and verification activities.
• Lead technical investigations and troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement engineering solutions.
• Coordinate engineering change activities across products and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain electronic hardware designs and technical documentation using Altium, DX Designer, Siemens Xpedition, and PADS.
• Support production quality resolution and collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Contribute technical expertise to DFMEAs, product innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering tool development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in electronics, embedded systems, or product development.
• Knowledge of automotive development standards and processes, including DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D, ASPICE, and requirements management.
• Experience with BOM creation, supplier collaboration, prototype procurement, engineering change management, and embedded system design.
• Technical expertise in analog and digital electronics, EMC/EMI/ESD troubleshooting, reliability engineering, FPGA/CPU architectures, CAN, and laboratory testing.
• Fluency in English and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with supply chains and manufacturing processes involving plastics and die casting.
• Dutch language skills.
