Module Engineer Internship (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Leixlip, Ireland

Salary: Minimum annual base salary of €31,400

What you will do

• Support safety, quality, operational performance, productivity improvement, and cost reduction for an assigned process module.
• Own and qualify process modules and equipment, including preventative maintenance and process performance monitoring.
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to defect reduction and manufacturing improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges using structured, model-based problem-solving methods.
• Help sustain and improve Virtual Factory standards and process matching across global manufacturing sites.
• Develop technical and professional skills through mentorship, training, and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Level 8 or Level 9 qualification in a relevant STEM discipline, such as physics, applied chemistry, chemical engineering, electronic engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, high-performing team.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and follow disciplined procedures.
• Availability for six or more months in 2027, preferably starting between January and June 2027.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analysis tools such as JMP, Python, or Excel.
• Ability to summarize technical data for technical and non-technical audiences.
