Database Administrator (MySQL)

What you will do

• Operate the global database platform from initial setup through ongoing maintenance and tooling development.
• Administer high-volume databases in a complex infrastructure environment.
• Plan and execute database administration activities to maximize stability and availability.
• Install and upgrade databases and high-availability solutions.
• Develop automation, monitoring, and operational tooling.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for database-related production incidents.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with MySQL database administration.
• Understanding of IT fundamentals, networks, and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Basic to intermediate scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Ability to solve technical problems, handle moderately complex challenges, and work collaboratively.
• Proactive approach to investigating and resolving technical issues.

Nice to have

• Knowledge or hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS database services.
• Experience running MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL databases on Kubernetes using database operators.
