TL;DR
Senior Observability/DevOps Engineer (Datadog): Migrating a large-scale Datadog environment to a standalone organization with an accent on monitoring, logging, integrations, security configurations, and automation. Focus on automating migration through the Datadog API, CLI, and Terraform, integrating AWS and Kubernetes/EKS, and validating observability and security parity before cutover.
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; remote work is supported through a work-from-anywhere culture.

What you will do
- Plan and execute the migration of a large-scale Datadog child organization to a standalone organization.
- Migrate monitors, dashboards, SLOs, log pipelines, indexes, archives, retention settings, integrations, agents, and access configurations.
- Automate migration activities using the Datadog API, CLI, and Terraform Datadog Provider.
- Support Datadog integrations with AWS, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
- Validate monitoring, observability, and security configurations before cutover.
- Troubleshoot migration issues, collaborate with engineering teams, and support stabilization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in observability, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on Datadog implementation, administration, and migration experience.
- Experience with Datadog organization and account migrations, including parent/child and multi-organization environments.
- Strong experience with Datadog API, CLI, Terraform Datadog Provider, monitors, dashboards, SLOs, Agents, APM, and distributed tracing.
- Experience with Datadog Log Management, AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, RBAC, SAML/SSO, SCIM, API and application key management, and CI/CD automation.
Nice to have
- Datadog Certified Professional or Datadog Partner/consulting experience.
- Enterprise observability architecture experience.
- Experience with Datadog Synthetics, Private Locations, CSPM/security monitoring, and PagerDuty, Slack, ServiceNow, or webhook integrations.
- Experience validating monitoring parity in dual-running environments before cutover.
