Clinical Data Innovation Manager (AI)

Location: Europe with hybrid or remote options. The compensation package is based on the role being located in Italy and may vary by country.

Salary: €59,000–€74,000 per year, plus an annual bonus scheme and local-market benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute the clinical data innovation roadmap across the Global Rare Disease portfolio.
• Lead evaluation, implementation, governance, and compliant use of AI, machine learning, and automation for clinical data review, cleaning, coding, database builds, metadata generation, and regulatory submissions.
• Modernize clinical data management processes, operating models, architecture, interoperability, standards, and data reuse.
• Own clinical data technology initiatives involving EDC platforms, data lakes, analytics environments, AI platforms, and visualization tools.
• Enable advanced analytics and near real-time monitoring of data quality, study conduct, operational performance, and risk indicators.
• Manage innovation portfolios, vendor evaluations, business cases, KPIs, and cross-functional collaboration across R&D, IT, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and Regulatory Affairs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO environments with strong clinical development exposure.
• Solid experience with Clinical Data Management and the clinical trial data lifecycle.
• Proven experience applying AI, automation, advanced analytics, or digital innovation to clinical development.
• Experience with clinical data technologies, data architecture, interoperability, and data standards.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and experience managing vendors and technology transformation initiatives.
