TI Supplier Quality & Development Engineer (Heavy Machining)

Location: Beijing, China; the role involves approximately 30% travel.

What you will do

• Qualify new suppliers through capability analysis and supplier risk assessment.
• Lead product and process qualification for suppliers of machined parts and heavy-machined components.
• Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators and implement quality assurance measures throughout the supplier lifecycle.
• Drive proactive and reactive supplier development, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Apply risk management methodologies to prevent quality issues and strengthen supply chain resilience.
• Support procurement and business initiatives including localization, Local 4 Global, and sourcing strategy development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience as a design, quality, or manufacturing engineer.
• Practical manufacturing experience with machining processes for large forgings and castings weighing more than 1 metric ton.
• Experience in technical functions within the energy, oil and gas, or a related industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; English proficiency is required.
• Experience with root cause analysis and quality or risk management methodologies; willingness to travel approximately 30%.
