Process Engineering Technician - Nights

Location: Clayton, North Carolina, United States; onsite night-shift role. The position may require travel up to 10% for site-assigned support or up to 50% for global support assignments.

What you will do

• Improve and support systems, equipment reliability, and performance in core manufacturing processes.
• Perform event and process analysis using root cause analysis tools and techniques.
• Implement and maintain reliability-centered maintenance programs, procedures, and maintenance plans.
• Design, redesign, evaluate, and optimize systems and equipment.
• Support engineering studies, FAT and SAT testing, validation protocols, and equipment reliability projects.
• Execute shutdown activities, including preventive maintenance, station overhauls, and return-to-operation support.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a relevant technical field and at least two years of related technical experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent and at least four years of related technical experience.
• Practical experience with equipment maintenance and process improvements.
• Ability to work onsite for up to 12-hour night shifts and perform physically demanding duties, including lifting equipment or supplies up to 33 pounds.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems, mechanical systems, process improvement methodologies, pharmaceutical utilities, process development, product transfer, and chemical properties.
• Ability to work safely around hazardous materials, confined spaces, elevated heights, loud noise, and cold environments when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in engineering, validation, manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or formulation.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, PCS, and BMS control systems.
• Experience with project planning, execution, and management.
