What you will do

• Lead biopharmaceutics projects within the Molecular Profiling and Drug Delivery organization.
• Lead oral peptide delivery programs and CMC developability assessments for peptide and small-molecule pipelines.
• Assess physicochemical and biophysical properties, preclinical and clinical formulations, and drug-delivery strategies.
• Collaborate with discovery and development partners to improve delivery and advance candidates to clinical development.
• Support drug absorption studies, delivery-system development, and multidisciplinary technical problem solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical engineering, chemical or biomedical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
• Typical experience: 10+ years with a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years with a master’s degree, or 1–3 years with a Ph.D. in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Understanding of biopharmaceutics, drug absorption, biorelevant dissolution, ex vivo permeability, and peptide aggregation.
• Experience with physicochemical property assessment, CMC developability, formulation development, and drug-delivery systems for peptides.
• Experience supporting GLP toxicology studies for oral peptide development.
• Strong communication, organization, self-management, and ability to influence without authority.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with chromatography, DSF, rat intestinal perfusion, Ussing Chambers, Franz diffusion cells, X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, microscopy, or biophysical characterization.
• Experience with permeation-enhancer formulations and complex chemically synthesized modalities such as PROTACs and peptides.
