What you will do
- Lead technical solution design and delivery in line with domain architecture strategies.
- Provide hands-on engineering support, review code, and help developers and testers resolve technical challenges.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and delivery roadblocks and drive them to resolution.
- Embed development automation, testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern deployment practices.
- Support root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, defect prioritisation, release planning, and change sequencing.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps, documentation, engineering standards, and mentoring across the team.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering experience with previous leadership experience.
- Domain knowledge in payments, settlements, and disputes.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and delivering software solutions.
- Programming experience with Java or Node, plus knowledge of AWS cloud components.
- Experience with scalability, performance, resilience, disaster recovery, CI/CD, test automation, DevOps, and modern deployment approaches.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information, sequence technical work, and resolve delivery risks.
