Software Engineer (Cloud): Building and operating hyperscale cloud services for AWS infrastructure with an accent on distributed systems, scalability, and fault-tolerant architecture. What you will do
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for AWS services and infrastructure.
- Build high-quality distributed-system software for hyperscale applications.
- Investigate design approaches, prototype technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Perform peer code reviews and maintain key system features.
- Establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and drive engineering excellence.
- Create technical documentation and mentor junior engineers and team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, another technical discipline, or equivalent related experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, including Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and object-oriented software design.
- Experience working in Linux or Unix environments.
- Preferred: experience delivering complex software systems and designing large-scale distributed systems.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, including coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Exposure to SQL or NoSQL systems, scalability, and fault tolerance.
