What you will do

• Develop and evaluate multimodal AI/ML methods, including foundation, predictive, and generative models for biomedical data.
• Integrate imaging, transcriptomics, proteomics, molecular structures, assays, literature, and knowledge bases to generate actionable scientific insights.
• Design computational approaches for hypothesis generation, experimental design, disease-mechanism analysis, and target or compound prioritization.
• Collaborate with biologists, chemists, computational biologists, biostatisticians, AI/ML scientists, and data scientists.
• Build reusable AI platforms, software tools, data foundations, and reproducible research workflows.
• Lead research activities from study design and coding through model evaluation, documentation, publications, and communication of findings.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, biomedical engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, foundation modeling, or related areas.
• Experience developing and evaluating machine learning methods for scientific or biomedical applications.
• Hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML tools such as PyTorch, JAX, Hugging Face, Git, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of molecular and cellular biology, genetics, disease biology, or drug discovery, plus experience with at least one biomedical data modality.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical findings and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary scientific teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal foundation models, self-supervised or contrastive learning, and generative modeling.
• Experience developing AI agents, multi-agent systems, scientific copilots, retrieval-augmented generation, or autonomous research systems.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical R&D, including target identification, biomarker discovery, translational research, or precision medicine.
• Experience developing reproducible research software or shared AI/ML platforms.
