What you will do
- Develop and integrate software solutions into existing modeling and simulation frameworks, including AFSIM, ITASE, and NGTS.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and analysts on AFRL, NASIC, DARPA, and other defense and intelligence projects.
- Apply modern Agile software development practices in a fast-paced development environment.
- Develop software for Windows platforms and contribute to Linux-based development when needed.
- Use source control, issue management, and CI/CD tools to support reliable software delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of software development experience, including 3 years developing in a systems language; C++ is preferred.
- Experience with Agile development processes, source control, issue management, and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Experience developing software for Windows platforms.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with DoD modeling and simulation frameworks such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, CLion, or similar integrated development environments.
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation best practices and DoD security practices.
- Experience developing software for Linux platforms.
