General Service Technician / Mechanic (Automotive)

Salary: Up to $25 per hour

What you will do

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and other maintenance and repair services.
• Conduct state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot guest concerns and communicate vehicle damage or malfunctions to the service department.
• Complete accurate courtesy vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance reports.
• Follow federal, state, and local requirements, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know rules.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Current driver's license.
• Entry-level applicants are welcome; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds occasionally and work with vehicles raised overhead.
• Ability to work in tight spaces, use hand tools, stand or walk for most of the workday, and drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment and use a computer efficiently.
