Chicago Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Consultant - 2027 (AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid work combining in-person work in local hirify.global offices and on client sites with remote work; local or out-of-state travel may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $72,000–$87,000 annually. A $2,000 bonus target may also apply.

What you will do

• Assess business, technology, cybersecurity, AI, data governance, cloud, and operational risks.
• Analyze data, test controls, document observations, and evaluate audit objectives and frameworks.
• Support business process audit and advisory engagements focused on compliance, governance, security, and process effectiveness.
• Support technology audit and advisory engagements involving privacy, software development, technology resilience, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to clients and project teams.
• Collaborate with experienced consultants while managing priorities and contributing to client outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, computer science, data science, engineering, finance, information systems, information technology, management information systems, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency applying AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or generative AI to analytical and research tasks.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and analytical problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of internal audit processes, audit frameworks, emerging technologies, and control objectives.
• Experience handling and analyzing data; familiarity with Microsoft Office, Power BI, and related data visualization tools.
• Entry-level knowledge of software development practices and interest in Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or Python.

• Experience using AI with human judgment to improve delivery efficiency and insight quality.
