CFO PE Backed Buy and Build Professional Services business

Salary: £225,000–£250,000 per annum plus equity, bonus, and benefits

PE-backed professional services business operating in an attractive and resilient market, generating more than £10m EBITDA and pursuing a buy-and-build strategy with further organic growth and acquisition opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead the acquisition strategy across opportunity evaluation, financial due diligence, deal execution, funding, and integration.
• Work closely with the Board, private equity investors, and advisers throughout the M&A process.
• Provide financial and commercial insight across the existing business.
• Support performance improvement and identify opportunities to create value across the group.
• Help deliver the buy-and-build strategy, EBITDA growth ambition, and successful exit.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or ACMA credentials.
• Seasoned CFO with a successful track record in a PE-backed business.
• Experience in professional services, legal services, B2B services, or a similar people-led or service-based environment.
• Successful track record of leading and delivering M&A, including acquisition evaluation, financial due diligence, deal execution, funding, and integration.
• Experience supporting a founder-led business through professionalisation, including strengthening governance, reporting, systems, and processes.
• Strong analytical, commercial, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change at pace.
