Senior Finance Leader (FCM): Building and managing the finance function for a newly registered Futures Commission Merchant with an accent on regulatory compliance, capital monitoring, and financial reporting. Focus on ensuring adherence to CFTC and NFA requirements, protecting customer funds, and establishing robust internal controls from the ground up.

What you will do
- Calculate and monitor adjusted net capital, risk-based requirements, and regulatory haircuts on a daily basis.
- Own daily segregation and residual-interest computations, ensuring full compliance with CFTC requirements.
- Prepare and file monthly Form 1-FR-FCM reports via WinJammer and coordinate annual FCM audits.
- Manage the standalone monthly close, financial statements, and intercompany balance substantiation.
- Build and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls for the FCM finance function.
- Report directly to the FCM CEO and Audit Committee on capital adequacy, liquidity, and risk.
Requirements
- 10+ years of finance, accounting, or regulatory reporting experience with hands-on experience in a carrying FCM.
- Direct experience with daily segregation computations and Form 1-FR-FCM filings.
- Working knowledge of CFTC financial requirements (Parts 1, 22, and 30) and NFA regulations.
- Experience managing NFA and DSRO examinations and annual audits.
- Ability to own a full monthly close and produce standalone financial statements for a regulated entity.
- Must be based in New York for this on-site role.
Nice to have
- Prior title as FCM Controller, Head of Regulatory Reporting, or Deputy CFO at a carrying FCM.
- Experience standing up the finance function for a new FCM or supporting the registration process.
