Consultant - Manager, Legal Counsel Employment Compliance

Location: Miami or Dallas, United States, or remote within the United States. Ability to travel 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Prepare and certify Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1 reports, Veterans and Pay Data Reports, and mandated state reports.
• Monitor employment laws and regulations across the Americas and provide legal recommendations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment, benefits, executive employment, and severance agreements.
• Update employment handbooks for the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
• Represent the company in employment litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.
• Coordinate agency inquiries and investigations, supervise external counsel, manage discovery, and respond to claims and demand letters.

Requirements

• Independent consultant engagement through an established business entity, such as an LLC or corporation, with valid registration documentation.
• JD from an accredited United States law school.
• 3–5 years of experience advising on a broad range of employment law matters.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations throughout the Americas.
• Strong legal research, critical thinking, analytical, risk-assessment, communication, and consensus-building skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and AI functional competencies.
