Data Scientist (AI)

Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico; hybrid schedule with in-office work at the Santurce office Tuesday through Thursday and fully remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

What you will do

• Execute multidisciplinary data science solutions end to end with limited guidance.
• Develop machine learning systems that personalize onsite experiences, create online journeys, and optimize processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, creative teams, and engineering groups.
• Take ideas from discovery through production and communicate project status, timelines, and technical results.
• Participate in the broader data science community and contribute to project design and execution.
• Research new data science, machine learning, and AI techniques and assess their applicability to projects.

Requirements

• 1+ year of professional data science experience with an MS or PhD in a relevant STEM field, or 3–5 years of professional data science or machine learning experience.
• Experience with end-to-end model development, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Databricks.
• Ability to understand business context, define value propositions, and solve complex data science problems with limited guidance.
• Strong communication, execution, project ownership, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience scoping data science projects and developing specialization through research, literature reviews, and communicating findings.
