Application Engineer I (Battery Testing)

Location: Plymouth, Michigan, United States; onsite role with up to 40% travel.

What you will do

• Commission test cells and systems for complex testing requirements.
• Set up and troubleshoot test and measurement systems, control loops, auxiliary equipment, and safety monitoring.
• Write and implement custom tests and develop application solutions.
• Create commissioning documentation and obtain customer sign-off.
• Act as a customer liaison, provide technical support, and deliver application training.
• Travel to customer and project locations as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Zero years of related experience required.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical processes, schematics, and drawings.
• Proficiency with PC operations, MS Windows, computer networking, and software troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Unrestricted authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.

• Experience with test automation equipment.
