Laboratory Associate (Clinical Research)

What you will do

• Perform routine specimen analysis for clinical trials and document results according to SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Evaluate analytical result validity using laboratory computer system algorithms.
• Identify, document, and escalate performance errors and unusual results to senior laboratory personnel.
• Prepare buffers and solutions and manage post-analysis sample and reagent storage.
• Support laboratory housekeeping, supply monitoring, workflow control, and communication with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree; some CAP/CLIA locations may require a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.
• At least 6 months of relevant laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and applicable regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology.
• Ability to maintain reporting procedures, control workflow, and communicate accurately with internal stakeholders.
