Postdoctoral Researcher (Cybersecurity)

Location: Main Campus, College Station, Texas, United States. On-site research position.

Texas A&M Engineering, through the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, conducts basic and applied engineering research, workforce development, and technology transition in collaboration with industry, academia, and government.

What you will do

• Design and implement novel research methods in cyber-physical systems, trustworthy AI, cybersecurity, and next-generation networks.
• Develop resilient-by-design architectures for critical infrastructure and autonomous systems through federally funded projects.
• Assist with identifying funding opportunities and drafting technical proposals for federal and industrial sponsors.
• Lead journal publications and present research at IEEE, ACM, and other major conferences.
• Co-supervise Ph.D. and master’s students and provide guidance on theoretical frameworks, experiments, and proofs.
• Oversee lab testbeds involving smart grid co-simulations, CPS robotics, software-defined radios, and industrial control systems.

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree required.
• Background in cybersecurity, AI, networked systems, or at least one type of cyber-physical system.
• Proficiency in mathematical modeling, including game theory, optimization, or control theory.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, C++, and MATLAB.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Employment in the United States requires completion of Form I-9 and verification of authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field.
