Internal Controls Senior (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day execution of multiple internal control audit and advisory engagements.
• Assess business-process risks and design controls to mitigate them.
• Create process narratives, risk and control matrices, flowcharts, test plans, and other review-ready documentation.
• Test the design and operating effectiveness of controls under applicable standards and SOX requirements.
• Identify control deficiencies, develop remediation plans, and track progress.
• Manage project status, collaborate with cross-functional teams, coach staff, and contribute to process improvement and program development.

Requirements

• At least three years of risk and controls or related experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience scoping and testing controls under AICPA and PCAOB standards and SOX compliance.
• Knowledge of process design, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, writing, communication, organization, and project-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and AI tools such as Copilot and Claude.

Nice to have

• CPA or CIA certification.
• Experience with data analytics, IT audit, emerging technologies such as AI, and automation initiatives.
