Cell Processing Specialist (Cell Therapy)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; 100% onsite. Shift: 1:00–9:30 p.m.

Salary: $68,200–$76,500 per year.

What you will do

• Process minimally manipulated clinical human therapeutic cellular products using manual and automated aseptic techniques in a regulated clean-room environment.
• Perform cryopreservation and thawing, centrifugation and washing, genetically modified cell handling, labeling, and transportation.
• Review cell counts, viability results, flow cytometry histograms, and sterility testing results for product acceptability.
• Identify and escalate processing and quality issues, communicate outcomes, and document corrective actions.
• Inspect, clean, operate, and help validate laboratory equipment; respond to REES alarm alerts and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Follow cGMP, cGTP, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biological science, medical technology, or a related field preferred.
• An associate degree in a related science plus clinical laboratory experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• At least one year of clinical laboratory experience is required with an associate degree.
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification is required with an associate degree.
• Ability to work accurately under strict time constraints, perform scientific calculations, make critical decisions, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, clinical or research GCP, and basic laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, and programmable freezers.
