Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

Annual base salary: $139,400–$230,000

What you will do

• Build, operationalize, and optimize complex data pipelines and processing solutions.
• Design data architectures that incorporate new sources and align with enterprise data strategies.
• Analyze complex data sources and recommend data for analytical processes.
• Apply data governance, security, quality, cleansing, and transformation practices.
• Support AI, machine learning, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives through reliable data products.
• Act as a data and technology subject matter expert, resolve complex defects and incidents, and educate business users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 6 additional years of data engineering experience; the ideal profile includes 10 years of related experience.
• Experience with data pipelining, processing, warehousing, and data engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, and ETL tools such as AbInitio or Informatica.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, programming languages, automated testing, quality assurance, and system health monitoring.
• Technical leadership, strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and business partnership skills.
