Senior Portfolio Manager (Sterling Credit)

What you will do

• Lead investment management of the £1bn Sterling Bond Fund, including performance, portfolio construction, and risk management.
• Develop investment strategies through credit analysis, macroeconomic assessment, and portfolio optimisation.
• Collaborate with UK, Madrid, and global fixed income teams on research, credit insights, and risk management.
• Represent the Sterling Bond strategy with retail, institutional, and insurance clients.
• Support fund growth, client engagement, business development, and the launch of new fixed income products.
• Ensure investment activities comply with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and the firm’s investment philosophy.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing Sterling fixed income portfolios with a strong record in portfolio construction, credit analysis, and investment performance.
• In-depth knowledge of government and corporate bonds, interest rate risk, credit risk, and macroeconomic drivers.
• Strong analytical and investment decision-making skills, including the ability to translate complex market information into effective strategies.
• Experience building relationships with institutional and retail clients and representing investment strategies credibly.
• Experience working collaboratively within global investment teams and contributing to product development and business growth.
• Must have the right to work in the UK through nationality, visa, or work permit.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• CFA, CAIA, or an equivalent professional certification.
