Mr D Product Manager - Fulfilment (Order Fulfilment/Product Management): Owning the roadmap and execution of order fulfilment products from restaurant order acceptance through delivery with an accent on tracking, delivery timelines, driver assignments, integrations, and customer experience. Focus on defining specifications, coordinating cross-functional delivery, analyzing fulfilment metrics, and using AI, machine learning, and LLM concepts to improve the system.
Location: Cape Town, South Africa; hybrid working model

What you will do
- Own the order fulfilment product roadmap, backlog, strategy, and execution across all customer journeys and verticals.
- Manage the full product development cycle, including specifications, design, implementation, testing, launch, and success-metric monitoring.
- Define requirements, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, and non-functional requirements for mobile apps, backend logic, APIs, integrations, and internal support tools.
- Work with engineering, UX, QA, drivers, restaurant partners, groceries, logistics, customer support, and operations teams.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and report fulfilment metrics such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, average delivery time, and delayed-order rates.
- Manage integrations and responsibilities between Mr D and Takealot Fulfilment Services.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Product Manager experience or 5 years in software development-related roles such as Business Analysis or Product Ownership.
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical acumen for integrations and experience making data-driven product decisions.
- Understanding of machine learning, LLM, and AI concepts and their practical application.
- Ability to write product specifications using traditional and AI-accelerated methods.
- Experience with wireframing or design solutions, strong communication, prioritization, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
