Software Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Salary: €54,400–€72,533 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement software solutions that accelerate research workflows and improve data analysis.
• Lead technical decisions for key projects and ensure scalable, maintainable architectures.
• Build and maintain microservices, APIs, and critical engineering components.
• Set technical standards, promote engineering best practices, and drive CI/CD and DevOps adoption.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to optimize workflows and remove bottlenecks.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring, knowledge sharing, and engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another major cloud provider.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js, plus React or a similar framework.
• Experience with microservice architectures, API design, cloud security, CI/CD, and DevOps principles.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is a plus.
