Senior Oracle Developer (Oracle/PostgreSQL): Designing and maintaining reliable database software for the digital transformation of excise processes in Ukraine with an accent on schema design, performance tuning, and Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration. Focus on optimizing complex queries, improving system availability, and supporting less experienced developers through knowledge sharing and training.
Location: Ukraine — Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, or Kyiv

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable software focused on performance and availability.
- Analyze requirements, review designs, and estimate user stories within Agile, Waterfall, or similar project methodologies.
- Propose code refactoring, query optimization, and other improvements aligned with software development standards.
- Support quality standards by sharing knowledge, conducting technical talks, and participating in internal promotion verification.
- Support less experienced developers through training, task distribution, and progress monitoring.
- Keep technical knowledge current and pursue professional certifications.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing with Oracle Database.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
- Expertise in database schema design, optimization, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Advanced PL/SQL skills and experience migrating data between Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work from Ukraine, specifically Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, or Kyiv.
