Software Engineer PL/SQL – Securities & Treasury

Location: Bioggio, Canton Ticino, Switzerland; hybrid and flexible work available.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain solutions for securities trading, transaction reporting, securities settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions.
• Write solution designs and review them with technical leads and architects.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, clients, and partners.
• Participate in client workshops and support requirements analysis.
• Improve existing functionality and develop automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Work with agile processes and Jira while taking ownership of a defined area of expertise.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of Java; Python, C++, or similar languages is also relevant.
• Structured and autonomous approach to complex technical and business problems.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with an ability to understand business needs and produce clean designs and high-quality code.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial industry or with securities trading.
• Experience with other trading system IT vendors.
• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of FIX, SWIFT MT, or MX/ISO 20022 standards.
