Senior Java Engineer (Cloud)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of a critical cloud-native backend system.
• Re-architect a large-scale legacy application using modern Java and Spring technologies.
• Build scalable, resilient microservices for high-throughput, distributed cloud environments.
• Design asynchronous processing, message-driven integrations, RESTful APIs, and gRPC services.
• Implement observability with Micrometer and OpenTelemetry, including metrics, tracing, and contextual logging.
• Collaborate in agile cross-functional teams, communicate technical trade-offs, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience developing server-side Java applications.
• Deep proficiency in Java 21+ and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
• Experience with workflow frameworks or languages such as TIBCO StreamBase, Spotfire, Flowable, or Camunda with BPMN.
• Expertise in high-throughput, low-latency systems, asynchronous processing, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and caching with Redis or Caffeine.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Business-fluent English at C1/C2 level is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial, regulated, Markets, or Trading environments.
• Experience migrating monoliths to microservice architectures.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows and generative AI tools in IDEs or code reviews.
